Each year, over 200 young baseball players eagerly step up to the plate and sign up to join leagues at Delwood Sports Complex. Since 1956, Delwood has provided fields, equipment, and staff necessary to facilitate dozens and dozens of games per year. In fact, many of the parents who now coach and manage teams were once young players in the Delwood league and are now teaching their young kids the rewarding experience of team sports. To date, Delwood remains one of the most affordable leagues in Austin, and one of the lowest registration fees for baseball in the city. Thanks to the help of dedicated sponsors, the registration fee for players has not increased in over 9 years.
Delwood Sports Complex is a non‐profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to the development of youth in the Austin area to provide the youth an opportunity to play baseball. It is located at the Bartholomew District Park; the complex serves the Northeast Austin Area, including University Hills, Windsor Park, and Mueller neighborhood areas.
The Delwood sports community is asking for your support in purchasing advertising sponsorship for our upcoming 2018 season. Your sponsorship will help offset the rising costs associated with running our organization. Thanks to your contribution, the association keeps registration fees low for our youth by offsetting uniform, insurance, utility, equipment, and maintenance costs and provides many of the other necessary items not covered by player registration fees. Our greatest need this season is:
- Bleacher repairs/replacement
- New/working scoreboards
- New netting
- New fencing
